I had been quietly battling acne for the past few months and I could never figure out what exactly is causing me to breakout sporadically. Sometimes I felt its my hair products, so I changed those and nothing happened. Then I thought it could be my hormones, can't do much about that. Then I figured its my dirty makeup brushes and washing them regularly did not impact my random acne all over my face. It's frustrating to tackle acne when you are a grown up, as its often associated with teen years. I was at my lowest when I found out about PanOxyl's acne solutions. These products are designed to fight acne causing bacteria deep within the pores. I am so happy that within a month of using it my acne has subsided significantly. I still breakout but it doesn't get as nasty as it used to.

TATCHA The Deep Cleanse Review and Result

Today's post is a little bit different. I am not going to rant at how awful Tatcha's The Deep Cleanse is for my skin, but I will show you what a hyped up product on social media can do to your skin. My skin was doing fairly well with no acne or dryness. I was on a Guerlain Abeille Royale routine for morning and night and I felt good about it. After I ran out of my favorite Dr. Dennis AHA peeling pads, I decided to give physical exfoliant a chance, but I did not want just any exfoliant - I wanted a high quality product for my skin. So, a quick social media scan and I was sold that Tatcha's exfoliating products are great for pore cleansing and loved by so many "influencers". I have detailed my experience on why this product is not worth my time and money and also included a picture of the reaction I had on my face.

Dermalogica mediBac Clearing® Skin Kit Review

This four piece kit from Dermalogica is described as 'a kit for adult acne that helps treat, clear, and prevent the triggers that lead to breakouts'.  It has four essentials to cleanse and moisturize skin, namely, Clearing Skin Wash, Oil Control Lotion, Overnight Clearing Gel and Sebum Clearing Masque.
I purchased this kit from Sephora because I was sick of my frequent breakouts and wanted something that would work fast and effectively. Ever since I turned thirty, my skin is not the same. There are breakouts, pigmentation, weird dry patches and what not. It feels like everything I do or eat causes acne! I would work in the garden and there will be breakouts, working out in the gym and guess what, swollen comedones!! I am literally at the point of checking out everything in store and in my pantry to treat my skin and there was quite a bit of a learning curve in maintaining my skin's healthy pH. NEOSTRATA Acne Clear, Glycolic Renewal Body Smoothing Lotion and Smoothing Cream Review

This year started with a bunch of new skincare products in my routine and today I am sharing my day cream, acne treatment and a glycolic body lotion that have helped me achieve beautifully smooth skin. My skin is used to AHA products, but I've never used a body lotion that contains 10% glycolic acid and I seriously regret not giving the same attention to the rest of my body as my face. Winters are brutal on my skin and with these treatments, my skin looks smoother, shinier, and I have less things to worry about. The most remarkable difference is the pores! I have been sharing less and less of face creams lately, mainly because, almost everything I try seems to cause acne. And I am dealing with acne since last November so you know the struggle! As a teenager, I never had acne and adult acne is so much different then teenage acne. I am currently on prescription for that. It kinda went haywire.
I came across Sensibio Tolerance+ and I liked how it kept my skin moisturized but soon after I incorporated Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep and Life Serum in my skincare routine. I decided to use the Vichy products for night and Sensibio Tolerance+ as my day cream and I was breaking out everywhere!!

I started using The Body Shop's Tea Tree products, from the beginning of this year (I am totally living the 'New Year, New Me' cliche). One of my skincare resolutions was to go back to basics. I have had used so many different types of products on my skin in the last year, mostly targeted towards eliminating the signs of aging. However, over time, I realized that my acne flare-ups have considerably increased - mainly due to hormonal issues...sad..ehh..

Serious Skincare The Beauty Book Vol VII - Photos

I received a big box of goodies from Serious Skincare on Friday and I was overwhelmed by the number of anti aging products it contains. Although, I may not be using all of them right away, as I am working on a a really gentle and natural skincare, (that I will share with you very soon) I would be using some that really stood out to me.
The Beauty Book from Serious Skincare is worth $459.40 and is currently for $119.25 on their website. They have been the top skincare line on HSN and have been selling for 19 years in the USA. They will be on TSN on Feb 13 and 14, so make sure you catch them on the show.

DIY Honey and Cinnamon Facial Wash

Here's a quick DIY facial wash for anyone looking for an antibacterial exfoliating facewash. This helped me keep my acne away and I enjoy this as an everyday face wash. Its honey and cinnamon!

Honey has antibacterial properties and cinnamon powder works like exfoliating beads that gently cleanse and protect skin. This works for all skin types!!

All you need to do is mix 2 tbsp of honey with a tsp of cinnamon and mix. Apply this mixture to damp face and work it on, just like your exfoliating wash. Rinse and say hello to a fresh skin.
Keep this mixture in an airtight jar in your bathroom and use within a week. The amount mentioned above should last you 3-4 washes. This is the best toxin free and chemical free facewash you will ever use and it tastes yummy!! Pls tell others in your family not to eat your facewash!! My husband just ate mine! :P :D
