MAC Haul ft. Studio Fix Concealer, Powder Plus Foundation, Eyeshadows, Prep+Prime Fix+ and more

I bought a lot of MAC on Boxing Day and around the holiday time, mainly because of the promotional discounts, free gift wrapping and also because I was intrigued by the newer packaging/the formula and just wanted to give it a go. 

In the past, I haven't been able to create a relationship with MAC products because despite the amazing shade range, I could not find anything that matched my skintone, nor did the formula worked for me. I always felt it accentuated the flaws on my face - like the lines around my eyes or the dryness on my mouth area. I felt that MAC products commanded more steps and more effort from me to make it work. 

Even though, the price point is almost comparable to drugstore products, especially with the 25% discount that I received for Boxing Day, I just never really wanted to buy MAC Cosmetics. Not to mention the awkwardness of the sales associates in my local MAC boutiques. They are always so pushy and judgemental. I will narrate my experiences later in this post. 

Anyways, so these are the products I purchased and so far, liking it. They are the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in NC30, the Studio Fix 24Hr Smooth Wear Concealer in NC30 and NW30, Fix+ in three scents, in the holiday packaging and free makeup remover wipes, I received with my online order. Yup, I ordered online, because I did not need any more useless interactions with MAC employees.

Summer Beauty Favorites ft Givenchy, YSL, La Prairie and more

Finally we are soaking in the much need summer sun which also means its time to protect our skin from environmental stressors and incorporate beauty products that work well during this hot, dry and rainy season. Well, at least for Calgary its a couple of days of hot-dry weather, followed by crazy winds, followed by what seems like torrential rains!!  :D Its everything at the same time...more like the same week. 

So I put together a slew of my favorites for this season and products I can't stop wearing because they work great for this weather. So here it goes...

LA PRAIRIE Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF 15 in Honey Beige Review and Swatches

Being a huge fan of the La Prairie Skin Caviar line, I always wanted to try this dreamy, luxurious Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation. Its one of the most coveted foundations in the beauty industry because it promises not just a beautiful full coverage, but also skin firming and anti-aging benefits of caviar extract. So, it doubles as a skincare product with sunscreen and also features a color matched concealer! So there is a lot in this jar of ultimate luxury! I got color matched to the shade Honey Beige which is the closest shade for my skin tone and I think it will look perfect once I get my summer glow. More on this in today's blog!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger (Medium 2) Review and Swatches

Some products are so good, they need no introduction and I use this concealer every single day but never did a full review on it because I felt that everyone already owns one. Its the world famous, everyone's favorite concealer, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (C$37 for 6ml). It is the best formula for covering dark circles and other blemishes on the face. I mostly use this on my under eye area to brighten up my eyes and it always looks great. I never get a powdery, flaky look that happens with some other concealers. It smooths out the undereye area and adds enough brightness to make me look well rested. Its a medium to full coverage formula that looks very natural on skin.

I picked this concealer on the recommendation of one of the Sephora girls and it hasn't failed to impress at all! One of the best concealers I have ever used! No creasing and no fading at all. If you have horrible dark circles or acne marks or those blemishes that peak through the foundation...then this concealer is a life changer!

I am sure you have come across the Amazing Concealer at some point but recently, I really got searching for a nice concealer and Amazing Cosmetics had it! Just like everyone else, I would be willing to trade anything for a good concealer. So, today, I will share with you three products from Amazing Cosmetics, including their Mineral Velvet Foundation, Amazing Concealer and their Anti Aging Primer. The shades I decided to go with is Light Golden, which is a shade lighter for me. I think I should have gone with Medium Golden but nonetheless I like the quality of these products and I am here to share this with you guys!
