I picked up the Nest Fragrance set because I have always loved Nest perfumes and I love how generous the trial sizes from Sephora are - they are perfect for travelling. This set includes a mini candle, a perfume oil and a Nest perfume roller ball and all three of them smell like the holidays to me!!

Sephora's Birthday Gifts always excite me because they are one of those little perks that make me feel valued as a Sephora customer and I think many of us feel that way. No purchase required, if you sign up to be a Beauty Insider, you get a birthday gift each year! Though I am slowly turning against the little samples, because of the plastic packaging and more tiny products mean more packaging in the landfill. But since I will be travelling soon (*fingers crossed*), I thought its best I pick up the skincare gift from Tatcha which must come in handy during my vacation. Though in the past I had a bad experience with the Tatcha The Deep Cleanse (review here), but I always loved the purple range and the dewy skin cream, so there I have it!

Sephora Birthday Gift 2021 Review - Laneige

Its that time of the year when I splurge on things I don't need and promise to use them throughout the year, such as my gym membership :P I am usually quite excited about my birthday because I know that I would be doing something fabulous but this year despite planning on a trip to Baja California, I had to cancel it because my children are still unvaccinated and no matter how long the trip, children can't be in school for 2 weeks after returning from international travel. Blah! There is no better way to ruin a vacation than to sit at home with your children and answer the constant questions about why they are so bored and what do we do at home. 

Anyways, that was quite a sad intro to a birthday post, but that's how I was feeling when I took a trip to my local mall yesterday and realized I can pick my Birthday Gift from Sephora. The little pleasures of life eh?

Hey guys!

This winter is much milder than last years, and though I am not complaining, but it makes me realize how we are slowly becoming part of climate change. I realized that the small samples, that I love to get with my order, add significantly to the landfills, as most are single use items, or are too small to be kept and often gets spoiled lying around in the drawers for years. They fill up my recycle bin with the excess paper packaging and the small plastic containers - well they are just landfill material. I am trying to buy bigger sizes of the products I like but I also love to get the more convenient 50ml size, which I can use for travel as well. It's a tough situation to be in and how I have become entitled to products that serve me, just because I can afford them. It is a time for change in lifestyle and something I will look forward to in 2020.

For now, let's talk about my recent skincare haul. I got these from Sephora as a bare minimum of what I need now, as compared to future. Don't we all buy more, cuz we think we might need it and often forget about using them. So I got the exfoliant, the face washes and the manicure kit that I needed and have started using! Yayy!! Using my purchases is so pleasure-full!!! LOL

Sephora Birthday Gift 2019 - Review and Photos

Hey everyone,

I quickly wanted to share this year's Sephora birthday gifts with you. As you can already see that there are more options to choose from and two options just for VIB and Rouge which are the Jo Malone 9ml cologne or the 250 Reward points. Last year I picked the points because I like the Rewards Bazaar and can usually get a nice size travel friendly product for free. I have tried numerous rewards in the past so the points have more worth to me than the gift itself. 

This time, since I was travelling during Spring Break I picked the Drunk Elephant set. I had never tried Drunk Elephant because it seems very expensive, and I thought this was a nice way to try out the brand.

This year there are two gifts from Sephora for Beauty Insiders - Marc Jacobs Beauty and Fresh Skincare Duo. I have a VIB status at Sephora and picked up the Marc Jacobs set yesterday. Just wanted to let you know that these sets are available in store and online and can be redeemed in your birthday month. I always skip the skincare set because I really don't know if I would like it so I always get the makeup one because its more fun. I do like the Fresh set too but I already have the soy cleanser and I can always pick up a sample of the rose mask from store, so it did not look so appealing to me. L'Occitane Beautiful Hands Trio - Gift Set Review and Photos

On a chilly day, like today, it totally makes sense to talk about hand creams. As much as I love to keep my hands moisturized, I am constantly doing something, that requires me to wash my hands or use a hand sanitizer - having dry hands is inevitable.
Its kind of a struggle to keep my hands moisturized and make sure the oily residue, from hand cream, absorbs quickly, so it won't transfer to my keyboard, as I type, or any other surfaces.

I hate oily hands. And I hate oily hand prints even more. It disgusts me to see my oily finger tips on my drawers, from a distance...well..
So who makes the best hand cream, that moisturizes without the oily residue? My one word answer would be "L'Occitane"...

Sephora Rio Nights Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Black Review and Swatches

I don't even know why I never tried products from Sephora Collection before. It's like the 'big' brands seem more glitzy in store..may be.
I am ecstatic to share this gel eye liner from Sephora because I never thought, its gonna be so great. I have been using this for a month now and I love it! The best $7 I ever spent! Yea baby! Threw it in my cart during the "Sale on Sale" event, just like that and it is a sweet surprise.

Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Soft Rose 23 Review, Swatch and Photos

I purchased this on a whim from Sephora and surprisingly this shade is so close to Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick in 05 Mademoiselle..just slightly more pink. Its sort of strange that I am more gravitated towards pinky nudes, even though I was always a pink/coral lip girl...always thought that nudes were sort of boring and demanded more work on eyes..

Anyways, so I swatched this on my wrist in store and was so happy to see the rich, smooth texture, however, I just ended up returning this lipstick back to store.
