Skincare #SephoraHaul and Sephora Tough as Nails Manicure Kit - Review

Hey guys!
This winter is much milder than last years, and though I am not complaining, but it makes me realize how we are slowly becoming part of climate change. I realized that the small samples, that I love to get with my order, add significantly to the landfills, as most are single use items, or are too small to be kept and often gets spoiled lying around in the drawers for years. They fill up my recycle bin with the excess paper packaging and the small plastic containers - well they are just landfill material. I am trying to buy bigger sizes of the products I like but I also love to get the more convenient 50ml size, which I can use for travel as well. It's a tough situation to be in and how I have become entitled to products that serve me, just because I can afford them. It is a time for change in lifestyle and something I will look forward to in 2020.
For now, let's talk about my recent skincare haul. I got these from Sephora as a bare minimum of what I need now, as compared to future. Don't we all buy more, cuz we think we might need it and often forget about using them. So I got the exfoliant, the face washes and the manicure kit that I needed and have started using! Yayy!! Using my purchases is so pleasure-full!!! LOL

VITRY Nail Repair Care in Sensitive - Review and Swatches

I shovelled 25 cm of snow off my driveway yesterday and my hands looked quite beat up after I removed my weatherproof gloves. Surprisingly none of my nails had chipped/broken, which I expect to break every day or two in winters and I though to myself, that this nail treatment is truly working it magic on me! Sometimes, even opening the car door would break my nails, or while putting on my winter coat. My hands hate winters. They look wrinkled, dry and flaky and I know that I can totally fix that with my Shea hand balm, but broken nails are hard to file/clip. They can certainly be painful too.
Today I am sharing with you a nail repair treatment that has truly helped me in maintaining the strength of my nails and I haven't experienced spilt or broken nails since I started using this. Its the Vitry Nail Repair Care in sensitive. I just pick everything for sensitive nails/skin/hair because I can always be sure it will not irritate me in anyway.
More on this in todays blog along with hand swatches...

I tried the #CANADA150 Manicure..

I am not good at nail art and I try to never do it myself BUT since its Canada's 150th birthday, I wanted to try out the maple leaf vinyl stencils sent to me for free by Nail Polish Canada. I think I did a pretty terrible job but well. The base coat is OPI's Berlin There Done That and the maple leaves are Burberry Oxblood.

BURBERRY Nail Polish in Oxblood No. 303 Review and Swatches

This hot weather, dryness and fasting are really taking their toll on me. Somedays I feel like I haven't accomplished as much as I could have. I am such a morning person, its hard for me to stay up till 10pm, let alone eat iftaar! The lack of sleep has started to show on my face but the worst is dryness! My hands are so dry, it is unreal. I take baths to exfoliate as much as I could and hope things will return to normal once the fasting period is over.
Anyways, so I went for a little Eid shopping on the weekend and picked up this shade from Burberry. I really liked the Military Red from Burberry Nail Polishes and thought I could try something a bit deeper. Surprisingly, I do not own any nail polish that is this shade. OPI's Casino Royal is close but Burberry Oxblood is more red than brown making it more wearable at all times of the year.
My Eid outfit is quite bright and has hints of this oxblood color in embroidery, so I felt that this shade will be nice.
Its a gorgeous shade that can be built up to a really dark oxblood/burgundy shade. In the swatches I am wearing 2 coats. Keep reading for more..

Nail HQ Base Coat and Ridge Filler Review

I often get ridges on my nails and I dont even know why. They look like harmless little dents but ever since my friend pointed out that something was wrong with my finger nails, I went to see a doc and she told me that its not a problem and on my insistence, she was fine with me taking a biotine supplement. I still get ridges, more on my toe nails now. So may be the migrated from my finger nails to my toes, haha!!
This is the first time, that I saw someone thought about this issue and it was pretty much spot on for some one like me, because I had felt insecure for years, knowing that my friend is looking at the ridges on my finger nails, every time I was talking to her.
So, Nail HQ, you get a 3 cheers from me, because you answered my insecurities. Well, I am not insecure anymore, especially ever since I 'grew up' and started blogging, but I am sure, there are so many who would want their manicure to look smoother and their nails to look more feminine...
So what does it do? Lets find out.

TRIND Moist & Shiny Kit Review

I had been packing my stuff and then unpacking it, and all of that work wreaks havoc on my nails. Thank goodness that Trind Moist and Shiny Nail Treatment Kit, kept my nails strong enough to prevent breakage even when I expect it the most. Although, I am no more a fan of longer nails, but I would want my natural nail to look shiny and healthy. The trio in this little box makes little wishes come true :)
