Best MAC Nude Lipsticks ft. Mehr, Mocha, Twig, Velvet Teddy and Taupe - Review and Swatches

Happy holiday season my loves!

I cannot believe that it's December 1st and once again, it's that time of the year when all I want to do is celebrate!🎉 This year had been a heck of a ride around the sun! It was full of surprises, lots of new experiences (both good and bad), lots of travelling and lots and lots of home shopping. I think this year was all about regaining control on my life and finding my happiness after the chaos of the pandemic. Beauty never took a back seat and with all the trends going around, the one trend that never goes out of style is the nude lip (thank you Kardashians)! I am more appreciative of minimalistic makeup post-pandemic, and a nude lip always makes me look pulled together with or without eye makeup.

There are so many nude lip colors to chose from and today I am sharing some of my favorite from MAC Cosmetics. I picked MAC Lipsticks in shades Twig, Taupe and Velvet Teddy during Black Friday and also added Mocha and Mehr to compare all five of these in the swatches today.

MAC Pro Eyeshadow Palette in Woodwinked, Expensive Pink, Carbon and Honey Lust - Review and Swatches

Before I even start sharing anything about this beautiful custom palette, I must share that I bought these eyeshadows last year and it was only this year that I actually placed them in the 4 eyeshadow pro palette, available at MACCosmetics.ca. I bought these thinking about my summer vacation and picked shades that would work well with my YSL Couture Palette in 03 (reviewed here), which is a vacation staple for me. I picked shimmery shades as my YSL palette has creamy satin finish neutrals, so I thought this will be a great mix to have while travelling. Oh, did I say travelling? Cuz that sounds weird now..

MAC Pro Longwear Fluidline Gel Eyeliner in Lowlights Review & Swatches

MAC Pro Longwear Fluidline Gel Eyeliner in Lowlights is a dark brown shade that gives me a softer eye look compared to a jet black eyeliner, which is what most of us reach for on a regular basis. When I started using an eyeliner back in my early teens, I got a dark brown eyeliner by mistake and since then I am hooked. I always have a dark brown shade in my stash for everyday use and if you remember previously, I used was obsessed with Stila's Smudge Stick waterproof eyeliner in Damsel. (Click for review)

Over the years, I realized that I need something in a 'pot' verses retractable pencil, because firstly, I use it daily and was running out of eyeliner pretty quickly and secondly, its much more eco friendly to buy a pot of eyeliner that literally lasts me a year, than throwing out eyeliner packaging every few months. So, that is how I got into the pot eyeliner craze. I use Bobbi Brown eyeliner in Black and I sanitize my pots with a alcohol swab every time I clean my brushes..

MAC Lover Program (previously MAC Select) + MAC Birthday Gift 2019 Review and Swatch

I shared my MAC store experience in my previous post and I decided to never buy MAC products but since my sister is a huge fan, I slowly got sucked in to the MAC-mania. And now I have a few products that I use on a daily basis and love it. I also tried some of my sister's MAC lipsticks when I was visiting her, and I absolutely loved the color pay off and the longevity! Especially at the price point and with the MAC Lover discount offers, I am on to creating my own collection of MAC products. I never thought, I would dedicate blogs to a brand I don't like, but here we go!!
So, thanks to my boxing week MAC haul, I became a MAC Lover - Devoted member. It's the second tier of the MAC loyalty program, which was previously called MAC Select. Being a Devoted member, I got to choose a birthday gift during my birthday month and I added a January date so I can get the gift earlier in the year - cuz I am impatient like that! :P
The gift I received was actually much better than I had expected, considering that Sephora gives me travel size products on birthday, with MAC Lover program, I got a full size Technakohl Liner in a color of my choice and a MAC tote bag.
