NARS Voyageur Eyeshadow Palette in Quartz Review and Swatches

Oh my gosh! I am back at it again! This summer has been insanely busy as my kids grow up and their activities and curiosity goes up to a whole new level. I am super occupied, however, I never stop thinking about my makeup diaries and how much I neglected it. I actually neglected myself and everytime I look at my feet, I cringe at why I didn't go for a pedicure yet... so it is that crazy busy! Anyways, I wanted to share this gorgeous NARS Voyageur Eyeshadow Palette in detail on the blog. I posted about it on Instagram when I purchased it and since then I have taken it to two vacation trips and this palette has helped me pull elegant looks for date nights and even for strolls around the city. Its definitely become my most used palette over this Spring/Summer and I can't wait to talk more about it.

These swatches are done without any primer/base underneath and look at how evenly pigmented every shade is. It appears the same way on eyes and since they are all sparkly, I did carry a matte neutral palette to complement this one. However, there have been days when I only used the light gold shade, Jordan, on my lids with a black liner, for a quick and easy sparkle on my eyes. It looks fabulous and the jewel tones look great on every spring or festive look.

I actually purchased this palette because the only colors I ever use on my lids is taupes, golds and purples. This one pretty much hit the nail on the color selection for me. The cranberry shade called Mulberry, is probably the only one not loved by me as yet. However, I do plan to use it during fall/winter.
Since every shade is glittery, it needs a matte shadow to balance the whole look and I use my trusty Make Up For Ever matte eyeshadows with this for the crease and sometimes, even a matte highlight.
Absolutely love how evenly it transfers to lids and feels creamy and  easy to blend.

If you are looking for jewel tones or sparkly eyeshadows then this one form NARS will not disappoint. It does have some fall out, but with every bold look, I always do the eyes first and clean the under-eye area with a makeup wipe before doing concealer and foundation. For amazing pigmentation and color payoff, I do not mind the fall out bit. I think its a fantastic product and if I can pull out looks from this palette while on vacation, then this is a winner for me.
I can easily go from day to night with these shades and I would recommend you guys give it a go and see it for yourself.

NARS Voyageur Eyeshadow Palettes retails for C$41 which is pretty affordable for a six shadow palette. It says its a mini eyeshadow palette, but its about the same size as my YSL Couture palette and bigger than my Burberry Eyeshadow quads!
These palettes comes in three shades. This one in Quartz has jewel tones and all glitter/sparkle/shimmer finish shadows. The others in Copper and Suede have a mix of other finishes like mattes and shimmers. I am currently eyeing Suede, but I think I have most of those shades in my YSL Couture Eyeshadow palettes.

PS: I got this also because I threw out all my UD Vice palettes because I couldn't keep up with the guilt of spending money on low quality eyeshadows just to stay hip during 2008-2014! So no more UD eyeshadows in my collection!!
