CHARLOTTE TILBURY Matte Revolution Lipstick in Wedding Belles for Summer 2020 - Review and Swatches (including comparison to Pillow Talk)

Hello beauties!
This summer Charlotte Tilbury released three new shades of Matte Revolution Lipsticks namely, Wedding Belles, Mrs. Kisses and First Dance I picked Wedding Belles because it looked like a perfect warm toned pink nude. I have several swatches and comparison with Pillow Talk lipstick (reviewed here) so you can decide if you want to add this gorgeous lipstick to your collection. I love pink lipsticks and I think this is a shade anyone can wear any time of the day. So lets jump on to the review and swatches

SWATCHES
A quick look at the swatches and you can easily observe the difference in undertone between Pillow Talk and Wedding Belles.
Wedding Belles is more warm toned, more red pink, making it darker than pillow talk on lips. While Pillow Talk

As you can see from the swatches above, this is a buildable to full coverage lipstick with a creamy matte finish. Its a darker pink compared to Pillow Talk and definitely warmer toned comparatively. I applied this in the morning and it stayed on perfectly till noon. It does tend to settle around the lips, forcing me to wipe clean from the inside of my lips, so the formulation is not as lightweight as I am used to and will require touch up in 5-6 hours. As it fades, it tends to leave a slight stain on the lips. Overtime, I have started to dislike this but that may be just me; I would rather have a lipstick that comes off completely and I would reapply it afresh. Nonetheless, Wedding Belles a gorgeous lipstick, the texture and the formulation is not exceptional but does last a good time and the finish is beautiful on lips.
The shade Wedding Belles, is a warm, yellow toned rose pink which looks beautiful but can make teeth appear yellow. It's a 'my lips but better' shade that makes my lips still look natural and I can always layer on a darker shade to transition for night. I also felt that the formula hydrated my super lips over the course of application.

Overall, its a beautifully packaged, universally flattering lip color with a creamy hydrating texture that anyone can easily add to their collection.

  1. It looks dirty brown on me, no pink in it whatsoever
