Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner Review

So my entire family took turns to get sick this season. We usually don't get a cold/flu until December but hey, winter came in early for Calgary and I have a lot to complain! We didn't even get a flu shot, my trees were still green and I hadn't even emptied my annual planters! There was literally no autumn like activity in my yard! The trees on the median and road side had a wonderful golden display that could last just a day before 20 inches of snow got dumped all over the city. No matter how much I complain, this weather will constantly drive me crazy and wreak havoc on my skin and hair. My lips are dried, chapped, flaky and cracked and no amount of lip balm helps and I am actually desperately looking for something that is actually nourishing in accordance to the crazy Calgary weather. Is it just me or do vacations make you long for summer days more? Its like the more you see the sun/beaches/greenery/life , the more you despise your current situation.
Anyways, so at least for dry hair, I have something you might like to read more on. Its the Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, available at London Drugs, that is giving my hair some life this season. It adds volume without the frizz and it makes my hair look smoother and shinier. This is my everyday shampoo/conditioner duo and I can't wait to share this with you today.

Hair Food Moisture Shampoo Honey & Apricot Fragrance

When I got this shampoo, I was instantly drawn to the fact that it is a moisturizing shampoo and that is something my hair needs badly. It cleanses pretty well and is infused with honey and apricot fragrance. It lathers up luxuriously and I felt I needed much less product to cleanse my hair with this one.
Honey is actually in the ingredient list, so there may be some benefits from it, however, the rest of the ingredients seem standard for most shampoos. The apricot fragrance is mild and leaves a lingering scent in my hair. I like products with nice fragrances but if you are allergic, or dislike fragrance then it is something to consider before using.

Hair Food Moisture Conditioner Honey & Apricot Fragrance

The Moisture Conditioner from Hair Food is designed to be used with the Moisture Shampoo and has the same blend of honey and apricot fragrance. I comb this from mid sections to the ends and leave it on for a minute before rinsing off. Even though its not required, but I always feel leaving on conditioner for a minute or two before rinsing off, makes my hair more shiny and silky. May be because I have longer hair and it helps soaking in the product better.
This also eliminates the need of a hair mask, so I get more benefits from one product. I still love my hair masks but doing this saves a lot of time.

Overall, this paraben free and mineral oil free Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner worked great for my long hair and the large 530ml pump bottles, make it do easy to use everyday. I love how the conditioner truly 'conditions' and gives me silky smooth hair and I enjoy the delicious apricot fragrance.
