Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation in Warm Natural 4.5 Review and Swatch

I have started to catch up with my regular life, now that I am home after a wonderful vacation to Palm springs, CA. It was amazing to be in a different climate, hearing different languages and tasting food I have never had before. The sun was so harsh but it felt great to get a tan after those winter months.
Sadly, my skin broke out and I was not carrying my anti acne treatment because I 'thought' I am done with it. Will share more on acne in my next post.
Today, I am sharing this powder foundation from Bobbi Brown, and was the only foundation I flew with! Yes, I did use a concealer and a primer, but this foundation was pretty darn good! I got the coverage I wanted and could easily touch up, thanks to the huge mirror in this compact. It was the only makeup product, I pulled out of the z-palette to carry in my handbag, because its so thin that it could fit in the inner pocket without feeling bulky.

Firstly, this is my first Bobbi Brown foundation. I love my Chanel and Make Up For Ever foundation, but I could not find any powder foundation that truly satisfied my needs. I like a nice coverage and long lasting formulas, which only seemed possible with liquid ones. When I am travelling, I like something that is quick and easy, so I am done with my makeup in 10 minutes or less. Yes, that's the amount of time I wanna spend on my face on vacation, because anything more will take away from the fun and relaxation, I had planned for the day.
And this is it!
Its the one powder foundation that gave me the coverage without the cake and still looked like skin and not too done up. I love it when my skin looks like skin.
Even though its a powder foundation, it does not feel over drying, nor does it accentuate drier areas. It looks great on skin. I took a gazillion photos and my skin looks great, even though I had acne popping up on my cheeks. I used a concealer for my under eyes and acne marks and then applied this all over with a powder brush and sponge. The sponge comes in handy for setting the concealer. My blush goes on well and it lasted a decent amount of time. I would say 5 hours max. before retouching.

The shade Warm Natural 4.5 is neutral medium beige shade that looks great on me.  I got this thinking it would me nice when my skin gets a little summer color. The kind of tan I got from Palm Springs made this foundation look at least 2 shades lighter. I never get so orange in Calgary, so I am expecting it will be a good match when my skin returns to normal during the summers here.
I would say this is closer to NC 35-40 than my regular medium with yellow undertone foundation (NC30).
Even the packaging is so slim and its easy to depot. I love products by makeup artists because they are always created with the thought of depotting and travel in mind. Its easy to depot and also to put back in the compact. Thats why I love using MUFE products and now Bobbi Brown.

To apply this, I used my favorite Make Up For Ever Step 1 Primer before applying the concealer and followed with Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation to set the concealer and then used a powder brush to sweep the foundation all over my face. I love this routine and would recommend you try these products for easy peasy makeup that looks greats in photographs (and selfies).
