DIOR Diorskin Nude BB Creme in Medium 003 Review and Swatch

Last week I was getting ready for a Calgary Stampede Breakfast and used the new DiorSkin Nude BB Cream and literally, I had to wash my face and start again! Don't get me wrong, this product is amazing and I love the texture and finish but the rosy tone was way more than I expected; especially under the morning sun it looked completely off!
This is a new launch from Dior as part of the DiorSkin Nude line. I noticed it on Sephora's website and ordered it straight away because I love using BB creams during summers. I just feel they are airier and easier to use than a traditional primer+foundation combo. I am so disappointed that this did not work for me because of the unnatural orange tone it offers. That is the "unique rosy glow" for the medium shade of this BB cream. Stills is a pretty good product that deserves some attention and may be you can test it out at Sephora for yourself. It comes in 3 shades: Light, Fair and Medium.

As you can see, the swatch above is much more orange-pink than my skintone and close to my wrist it looks brownish orange. That's how it looked on my face! It looked like I was wearing a mask and that's not the look I want, especially when opting for a BB cream.
I generally love BB creams because they provide a fair enough coverage for day time and especially when I am running errands, I do not want to look all done up, but still 'polished'. This BB cream is just not it. It provides almost a full coverage and conceals away blemishes and dark circles. May be the orange-pink undertone cancels out the darkness under the eyes, who knows?
If this is a shade that works for your skintone, then think of it as a easy to blend foundation that will set on its own without the use of any powder. Its easy to follow with blush and contour/highlight powders on top of it because the formula is pretty awesome!
Its a smooth and creamy formula that sets to a natural, non sticky, velvety finish. I love this formulation. Its the best BB cream formula I have tried in a long time. The 'unique rosy glow' all over my face was not the look I sought, so I do not use this anymore but the texture, the formula, the fragrance and the SPF is everything I ever wanted in my BB cream. Too bad the shades are limited and I so wish Dior launched this without the 'rosy glow'.

Overall, I like this product, its a great BB cream and it lasts without making my face oily as the day progresses. Wished the shades matched me better. You can try this out from Sephora. It retails for $55 for this 30ml pump-on-a-tube packaging.
