GIVENCHY Le Rouge Lipstick in 303 Corail Décolleté Review and Swatch

OMG OMG OMG!!
This lipstick is soo prettyyy!! The packaging is truly a luxury - A metal tube with a rock stud at the bottom and a lamb leather case - its magnificent. At $38 a pop, this truly feels like the kind of luxury, I expected from Chanel lipsticks.

My lips were soo super dry, the day I photographed the picture above, but seriously on well exfoliated and moisturized lips its very smooth on the first swipe.  The corners of my lips are much darker than the rest of my lips, so you can clearly see, that transition of color. It would be fair to say, its not a 100% opaque on the first swipe but definitely builds up to a full coverage with a second coat.
This is one of the things, I really like about this lipstick, that even though, its a pretty bright color, it blends with my natural lip color and looks super wearable, any time of the day.

The shade 303 Corail Décolleté can be described as a semi matte, bright coral pink and a perfect summer/spring shade. Its borderline neon for me, but not too much that I can't wear it. This shade is so close to Bobbi Brown's Rich Color Lipstick in Sweet Nectar , just a little more pink.

The formula is creamy with a semi matte finish. It does not dry my lips, but it would cling to any dryness on the lips. I did not find it to be particularly hydrating on me, or it may be that the weather in Calgary is very dry. May be. Overall, the formula is a little bit of a let down for me, but its nothing I can't work with. Exfoliating and moisturizing lips, in general, is the first step to flawless lipsticks, but this is a 38 dollar lipstick! You hear me, dont ya?

Overall, I love the leather packaging, the metal tube, the heavy feel, the luxury it offers. The color is fantastic. Lasts 4-5 hours and then leaves a stain, that still looks gorgeous.  It has a light fragrance to it, but nothing irritating. Loving it so far <3
