CAUDALIE Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil Review

After a day in the sun, I like to treat my skin with products that allow it it overcome the environmental stressors it endured and rejuvenate for the day ahead. I have always loved Caudalie products, but since my acne got worse, I started using anti-acne products and have been sorely disappointed. So, I am going back to vegan, close to nature skincare products like this Overnight Recovery Oil from Caudalie.
Ever since the lockdown started, my skin was all over the place, mainly due to stress, or just eating too much snacks.. I couldn't really plan out my skincare regimen and just started using olive oil on my skin. It worked nicely but soon I had too many clogged pores.. ouch!
Yeah..I got clogged pores and I don't even have a facial steamer AND I couldn't go for my facial at the salon!  It was so frustrating and that is when I thought of Caudalie. The clean, vegan formulations that I have always loved. I take the Caudalie travel set whenever I am travelling, so I had the travel size Vinosource moisturizing sorbet in my stash and ordered this Overnight Recovery Oil from Sephora.
These products work great on all skin types and I am so happy to have Caudalie Vinosource in my regimen again.

Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil is designed as to be an overnight treatment oil for dry and sensitive skin and aims to target dullness and uneven texture. It also promises to repair dry, sensitive, or irritated skin. This oil is formulated with a blend of six 100% natural plant based oils to deeply treat and strengthen sensitive skin.
  • Grape seed oil - to repair skin
  • Jojoba oil - to soothe and reduces redness
  • Rose and Rosemary essential oils - to balance skin and protect with their anti-bacterial properties
  • Sesame seed and Palmarosa essential oils - to heal and hydrate.

How to use:
It is recommended to apply 6 drops on face and neck avoiding eye area. This is how I use it - using the dropper, I drop 2 drops on each cheekbone and massage in upward strokes. The I drop 1-2 drops on my forehead and massage using upward strokes. Lastly, I drop a couple of drops on my palms and apply it to my neck and décolleté. I give my face a little massage and that's about it.
I don't follow with another product because I like how soft and moisturized my skin feels after applying this. I wake up to soft and supple skin, however, I haven't yet noticed the promised radiant glow yet, but I guess, with continued use, it will help me overcome dullness.

Every night when I apply this oil on my face, it quickly absorbs, and initially my skin was so dry I had to layer up on this oil even on hot summer nights. I like the lightweight, non oily feel on my skin. I also like the rose scent; it is strong but not overwhelming and wears off pretty quickly. I like scented products, so bring it on.

The best part about the Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil is how it calms my skin down, and helps my skin recover. My face no longer feels itchy after spending the day outside and there are no more red patches. I think this is a great product to use for all ages and all skin types because if it can work nicely for my skin type and doesn't cause any reactions, then I am confident it will work for you too.

This product is vegan, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin, and free of fillers, gluten, and GMOs.The plant and essential oils are 100% organic and I can see that, in the effect it has on my face.

Overall, this is a great product to add to your regimen. It works wonderfully well, and can be layered under a night cream. It delivers what it promises and this 30ml bottle will last me a long time. Get it from Sephora for C$60 for 30ml of Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil
