GUERLAIN L'ESSENTIEL High Perfection Foundation in 35N Beige and Pore Minimizer Primer + Retractable Brush Review and Swatches

This morning felt particularly chilly for an outdoor walk and made me wonder if I'm ever ready for winters. My dry skin hates how harsh Calgary weather can be and let me tell you that no matter how much water I drink, it can not overcome the dryness of my skin. I need a makeup primer for days when the wind and the weather are not on my side. I particularly enjoy using the Guerlain L'Essentiel Primer and the High Perfection Foundation for days when my skin isn't looking its best and today is one of those days. Though this is designed to be an everyday, matte finish foundation, I apply this only on days when I am heading out to meet someone. I rarely do a full face foundation, since everything rubs off on the mask, unless (drumroll please) I am in a restaurant where I am guaranteed to be without mask and get photographed as well.
As I was getting ready, I was gently reminded of how wonderful this combination of products is for me and decided to write this blogpost, so I can share exactly how I feel after using this foundation and primer which I have been using for almost two months now. For more pictures, swatches and review, keep reading...

Pro Sculpting Duo by MAKE UP FOR EVER in Shade 02 Golden Review and Swatch

The new Pro Sculpting Duo by Make Up For Ever is the simplest way to contour and highlight, without requiring 'specialized techniques' that look good in pictures only, tbh. While the beauty blogosphere was going crazy 'carving out the face', I was using my matte bronzer and highlighting powder to give dimension to my face, but in the most subtle and natural way. And that's how most girls are. I mean, who has the time to shop for additional contour kits with a gazillion contour shades and end up getting more confused than ever.
I love simplicity and the Pro Sculpting Duo is the answer to my everyday contour and highlight needs.

Its always great to have brushes designed for a pixel perfect look. This collection includes four brushes for a perfect foundation, namely, the buffing brush, contour brush, detailer brush and the pointed foundation brush and also a panoramic brush case that doubles as a stand too.

Young Blood Liquid Mineral Foundation in Shell and Foundation Brush Review

I love using cruelty free, paraben free and vegan mineral makeup products because they are sooo good for the environment and also our skin. I can not emphasize how much I love mineral makeup, however, I do find them to be messy, especially if you have wooden vanity, the mineral pigments can really create a mess. So I wanted to try the liquid mineral foundation from Young Blood Cosmetics and I am so happy to share it with you guys. The shade I ordered is Shell and I also have and amazing foundation brush from Young Blood for a perfect streak free application. If you are MAC's NC 20-25, you don't wanna miss this review :)

Sigma Precision Angled P84 Synthetic Brush Review

I won a Sigma $20 giftcard and decided to purchase this brush, as I had none for precisely highlighting and contoring my nose. I have used this several times and this has become my go to brush for contouring, not just my nose, but also the hollows of my cheeks. How is this seemingly small brush so good at contouring? Lets find out.
