GUERLAIN Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil Review

Guerlain Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil promises to gently remove makeup, even water proof makeup from face, eyes and lips. I put this oil to the test and get ready to see the results at the end of the post.
I absolutely love the Guerlain Abeille Royale skincare routine (reviewed here) and it begins with cleansing using this oil, followed by the Abeille Royal Lotion Toner, couple drops of the Youth Watery Oil and a pump of the Double R Serum.

More on this in today's blog!

I have put this cleansing oil to the test with long wearing, waterproof makeup and I am so pleased that I finally found a cleansing oil that does not sting my eyes or leave an oily residue on skin after rinsing it off. Though this is a bit expensive than other cleansing oils I have shared on the blog, I feel that the Guerlain Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil is the easiest to use and removes all makeup without requiring a second cleanse.

HOW TO USE:

Here's how I cleanse my face with the Guerlain Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil on a daily basis. I have used it on days when I have worn waterproof eye makeup and even those when I have no makeup on my face. It does a great job at cleansing, removing makeup and any impurities from face.
I wanted to show you how efficiently this cleansing oil works with all types of makeup, so you can get a feel for how this oil works.

1. Pump 2-3 drops of the Guerlain Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil on your palm and rub hands together. Apply directly to dry face and neck.

For this demonstration, I have applied it directly to my dry skin with the swatches to show how it works on different types of makeup.

2. Massage the Guerlain Abeille Royale Cleasning Oil on your skin in circular motions.
You will see the makeup dissolving and lifting off the skin

3. Rinse it off with water

4. Pat dry and say hello to clean skin! YaY! and no residue at all!

As you can see from the pictures above that Guerlain Abeille Royale removed waterproof eyeliner, a long wearing red lipstick and a 24hr wear foundation in one go. I can't be more pleased. If you are looking for a great cleanser that removes makeup and does not sting your eyes while removing eye makeup than this is the one for you.
Bonus points for the pump packaging, smelling great, and being non irritating to my skin. I also found Squalane and Royal Jelly in the ingredient list which not only hydrate skin but also helps maintain vitality. Catch up on my full skincare routine using Guerlain Abeille Royale here.

Hope you enjoyed this review and let me know if you have tried the Guerlain Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil. This 150ml bottle retails for $76 at Sephora.
