Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks in Pink in the Afternoon, Rose Velvet and Sandalwood Beige

Today, I decided to share with you my Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipsticks. These are the three lipsticks I use all the time, have repurchased several times and are my ultimate favorite from the Super Lustrous line. They are Pink in the Afternoon, Rose Velvet and Sandalwood Beige.
All three shades are my most favorite colors. I reach out to these shades all the time, whether I am going grocery shopping, doctor's clinic, mall walking, coffee, lunch buffet or dinner - I carelessly apply any one of these, without worrying if it works for my outfit or the occasion.
There is one of these in my handbag no matter what. All three shades can be worn at day or night time and are very appropriate for my medium warm complexion. Without further ado lets jump to the swatches!!

Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipsticks come in 4 finishes - creme, matte, pearl and shine. My most favorite finish is creme finish. I do like the other finishes too but, I have sticked around with the creme finish all of this time. What I love about these lipsticks is how opaque and creamy they are. A single sweep is all I need to a ton of pigment on my lips. I also find them to last a good amount of time on me...almost 3 to 4 hours.
They fade horribly, in the sense that, they settle in fine lines on my lips and around the rim of my lips, but since I know that, I always make sure I reapply before that happens. That is what I expect from a 5 dollar lipstick. I mean, I can't really expect it to do miracles at that price point. I love that it doesn't dry out my lips, in fact they are quite moisturizing and the shades are perfect for me, so I'm hooked to these!

Here is what I have to say about the shades:

Pink in the Afternoon: Its a medium rosy pink shade that is quite dupeable. I have seen similar shades by NYX and Maybelline. Its not as glossy as Rose Velvet and Sandalwood Beige, although its from the same creme finish line. This shade is great for day time and can easily transition to a more party perfect pout with a bit of gloss on top. I love wearing this for a no makeup look. It looks quite flattering on my medium complexion.

Rose Velvet: This is the nude lipstick for me. Its slightly mauvy, browny and appears really rich on lips. Its very very opaque and looks beautiful on my medium complexion. This is actually the first time, I ventured in to a mauve nude lipstick as opposed to my favorite peach nude lips and I have to say, its a refreshing change. I always have this in my handbag and I love it!

Sandalwood Beige: Ahhhh the orange-meets-terracotta-but-marries-coral shade!! (does that even make sense? :D) I have shared this before and even after three tubes of this, I still can't seem to get bored of it. I wear it the most, out of all three lipsticks, majorly because it never washes out  my complexion, in any lighting. So I wear this at day time, in night, in yellow lights, in white lights, and it even photographs beautifully. This shades really stands out and since coral is always a sought after shade in Spring, I guess I will be wearing this even more!!

Overall, I feel Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks are a great budget friendly option among the drug store lipsticks. They usually retail for $8 but they are always on a deal for 5 bucks! Quite awesome right? They have a ton of shades and I am sure if I dig around a bit more, I can find more favorites because they have almost every shade under the sun.

Hope you liked this review. Please share your favorite Revlon lippies with me!! :)
