The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask Review and Photos

If you are following my blog from the beginning, you know that I am big on masks! Although most of my masks posts may not be available on the blog due to the sad technical failures in the past but I use sooo many masks, I shall definitely keep you guys updated.
Anyways, here's a review on a 3 in 1 scrub mask from my current favorite, The Body Shop!!!

I bought this some time back as I wanted an all-in-one solution to the dryness on my face. I bathe in body butter  ( :P:P ) so, I am happy with my skin all over. My face, however, often makes me wonder,  "Why? O' Why are you so darn dry!!!"
The answer was to find an intense yet gentle skin nourishment mask that would lock in moisture,  wont break me out and would help me with the dryness issues. So when I went to The Body Shop, they had two scrub masks: Honey & Oat for normal/dry skin and Blue Corn for oily/combination skin.
I obviously chose Honey & Oat and after using it for considerable time, I am here to share my experience with you!!

It has a standard jar with lid packaging, where u have to dip your fingers and dig out a dollop of mask. It has a mushy, grainy - kinda like oatmeal consistency.

Its simple to use. Just apply to clean face avoiding lips and eye area; leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse. Its suppose to be use once or twice a week.

It has a pretty strong fragrance..like something herbal and rose waterish. I dont like that smell. Other then that, its a good mask. I couldn't really understand how it polishes skin. It definitely does clean and hydrate the skin to an extent that with continued use I haven't noticed much dryness on my face. I initially just gently massaged it on my face before rinsing off, to kinda scrub my face. But now I don't do that. The results are the same.
Its a pretty moist mask and does not dry on skin,  if left on, for up to ten minutes. It does not tighten pores or bring radiance to skin. To me, its like a shot of hydration to my face. And that is it. But honestly, I really wanted something like this in my  regimen that would soothe the redness and keep my skin hydrated.

Would I recommend this? uhh..I dont think so, unless you have the same issues as me. Will I repurchase? May be I would. Love it or leave it? I am somewhere in between...

It retails for about $17 for 100ml jar. Its good for up to 12 months after opening, like most The Body Shop products.

Hope you liked this review.

Do keep me posted if you have tried this.

  2. I feel that sudden urge to smell it, though I don't think I need it for any other purpose. Anyway thanks for the review!
