Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint and Balm - Review and Swatches

I have this lip stain for the longest of time and while clearing my stash today, I decided to add my two cents on this. I use all sorts of lip products: lipsticks, lip gloss, lip stains, lip pencils...uhh lip balm :P but this was particularly unique when I saw this the first time, around four months ago. The shade I have is 310 Long Live Lilac. It has a lip stain on one end and a lip balm on the other.

MY EXPERIENCE
I personally do not enjoy this product, because the two-step process to lasting lip color does not work for me. Firstly, the shade appears like a nude mauve on me. It doesn't really pop. The lip stain appears like a marker and  I do not like the feel of that felt tip on my lips. It really looks like I applied a purple marker on my lips.
Moreover, just the lip stain makes my lips dry and when I apply the balm, it does add some moisture and shine but that is not long lasting. The lip stain literally gets stuck on lips and can only be removed with a makeup remover.
So, yes. It is transfer resistant and truly long lasting color but I don't like the felt tip. Even the balm, on one end, came off after a couple of applications and now I am just left with the purple felt tip marker, called lip stain :(

Hope this review will help. If you have tried this, please share your experience
